VOLUNTEER

This is not just an appreciation text but also a self realization text. I came to know about Kanpur Ploggers in June through a reel and without any second thought, I volunteered to be a part of it. Interestingly my first drive was on world environment day making it even more memorable. Since then I’ve been part of 7 drives and the experience has been surreal. In addition to that, there have been massive changes in my lifestyle because of such a small step. I’ve started to carry my personal bag for shopping, tremendously reduced my plastic usage, started collecting plastic for donation and more to go. I’m proud that I could influence some people to a certain extent too. Now that I move out of kanpur for my college,  my Sunday mornings are going to feel incomplete. However the learnings I’ve got during this journey is sure to be sustained and carried forward. I’d like to thank you for initiating such an idea which has taken the form of a revolution today. My overall experience with KP is something that can’t be confined to words. I’ll also make sure to be a part of the future drives if and when I’m present in kanpur. Thanks!!
